I recently contacted this firm regarding a complex immigration query about my child’s eligibility for ILR. Initially, I spoke to a representative who reassured me that my situation “could be worked around” and encouraged me to book a paid consultation.
Based on that reassurance, I paid £99 expecting more tailored or constructive guidance. However, during the consultation, the solicitor provided the same advice I had already received from two other firms free of charge, which was that my child would not be eligible under the circumstances.
What I found disappointing was the inconsistency between the initial reassurance and the advice given in the paid consultation. Had I been given a more realistic expectation upfront, I would not have proceeded with the booking.
I understand that immigration matters are complex. However, clients should be given accurate and honest guidance before being encouraged to pay for further advice.
While the solicitor was professional during the consultation, the overall experience felt misleading and has affected my trust in the service.
